Defending champions, the Karakallio Kawalis won the final match defeating the Cric Hunters Koivukylä by 12 runs in the rain-marred final. Even the rain couldn’t stop the Kawalis from lifting the trophy as all the players from both teams were determined and pumped to play the game no matter what.
His Excellency, The Indian Ambassador, Mr. Ashok Kumar Sharma was the chief guest to witness the final and also presented the winner’s trophy to the Kawalis. Also present were Finnish Cricket Association president Mr. Andrew Armitage, the Indian Embassy’s Second Secretary, Mr. Sunil Baweja and Mr. Ranbir Singh Sodhi from the Vantaa City Council. This was the first time the distinguished guests had watched cricket in Finland and all were impressed by the facility and wished to actively support Finnish cricket development in future.
Well done to all the organisers and players from FinCricket Club!
