This is great news both for the existing National squad, but also for future potential players looking to break through to the highest level of Finnish cricket.

To support the long-term development of our national team player pathway, Cricket Finland announce the formation of an official Under-22 National squad, which will be developed alongside the senior squad with immediate effect. The long-term goal for this squad will be to constantly provide an influx of players to the senior side, while also looking over time to meet the ICC Under-19 international playing criteria.
Maneesh Chauhan joins Finnish Elite management team and is appointed coach/mentor for the U-22 squad
Chauhan will kick-off in his role by personally inviting selected players to an initial trial session at Pallomylly, Helsinki on Saturday January 20th – while in addition, we will maintain an open invite for new players 2018 onwards, aimed initially at all players residing in Finland and born no earlier than 1995. The search for new talent will continue on an ongoing basis, a project which Chauhan will be heading up, along with senior national squad coach Yasir Abdul Quadir.
Cricket Finland also plans to support further the development of both its senior and Under-22 squads with an Elite T20 series of weekends in the 2018 summer, hosted at the Kerava National Cricket Ground. More information on this will follow soon.
