This represents a critical change to the governance of Finnish cricket, with the Board looking to direct its energies towards long-term sustainable pathways, better infrastructure, developing a top quality national side and creating more opportunities for new, indigenous players to be welcomed to the greatest game. The Board will be supported by a separate operational management team.
New board members elected are Mahesh Tambe (Turku United), Maneesh Chauhan (Shaurya), Nathan Collins (SKK), Yaseen Khan (Otaniemi), while old Board stalwarts Heikki Mahlamäki (Empire) and Andrew Armitage (Kerava), the latter re-elected as Chairman, continue for another term.
