The T20 Final is set to begin at 11:00 a.m., with the X Division Final following after that at 3:00 p.m.

Date: Saturday 26th September.
Time: 10am to 4pm.
Venue: KNCG Pavilion, Kerava

Topics to be discussed are among others: running and developing an ‘ry’ cricket club, AGMs & Committees, Accounts and Membership Fees, Ground Bookings and Wicket Maintenance, Developing an Umpiring and Coaching Capacity, Internal and External Communications. Supporting Junior Development. Hoping to have two representatives per club.

National Team trials on August 2

The trials for the Finnish National men’s cricket squad will take place on Sunday August 2nd at Kerava National Cricket Ground, starting at 10 am.

Want to play for the
Finnish National Cricket Team?

Please note that all qualifying players’ performances will be considered before trial selections are made, including the players in the current national squad.  The players selected for the NT trials in August will be notified of their selection by the FCA in early July 2015.

Vantaa CC and TöKS victorious on Finals Day

Saturday, September 6th, 2014, was Finals Day at KNCG.

The X Division Final was between Helsinki Metropolitan CC and Töölön Krikettiseura, with TöKS successfully chasing down the 116 set by HMCC. Full details of the match are available on CricHQ here.

The second game of the day was the SMT20 Final between FPC Falcons and Vantaa CC, which ended with Vantaa CC crowned Finnish Champions. In fact, Vantaa CC were crowned double champions, as the club had secured the SM40 title earlier. The CricHQ Scorecard is available here.

SM T20 & X DIV Finals Day on September 6

On Saturday, September 6, it's Finals Day at Kerava National Cricket Ground. First Helsinki Metropolitan CC and Töölön Krikettiseura (TöKS) determine which of them is the X Division Finnish Champion, then Vantaa CC and the FPC Falcons face off in the T20 Finnish Championship Final.

Inauguration Day at Kerava NCG

Tuesday, June 10, saw the long-awaited official opening of Kerava National Cricket Ground. The ribbon across the players' bridge was formally cut by Lord King of Lothbury, President of Chance to Shine, Patron of Worstershire CCC and Honorary President of Ekenäs Cricket Club in Finland, and Petri Härkönen, Mayor of Kerava, assisted by FCA Chairman Andrew Armitage.

Kerava National Cricket Ground is officially opened by Petri Härkönen, Mayor of Kerava, and Lord King of Lothbury.

Finnish Team and Touring Squads for Finnish Cricket Week

Tomorrow, June 6th, is the beginning of Finnish Cricket Week, a week-long celebration of cricket in Finland.

We've now posted the team selections of the Finnish National Team for Finland's three matches during the festival as well as the squads of the touring parties, i.e. MCC and Denmark's U19 Team, and the Chairman's XI. You will find all the details on the Games and Teams page.

Finnish Cricket Week begins on Friday, June 6 - one week from today - and Saturday, June 7, is Family Day. All fans of cricket - and all those who are not yet fans, but a bit curious about the game (perhaps after hearing this radio programme about cricket) are welcome to the Kerava National Cricket Ground for a fun day out.
