The chairman of Finn-Asia Cricket Association, Pasi Kankaanpää, has been elected to the Turku sports parliament, which is an expert panel of the city, representing the 300 sports associations and their 60.000 members in Turku. Proper management and close collaboration with the Turku sports officials resulted in the election, made by Turku's sport associations last month. Membership in the parliament is a big responsibility, and an indication that cricket and Finn-Asia are taken seriously in Turku. This is another small but positive achievement for cricket in Finland, and opens new possibilities for collaboration within various areas of sports.
Congratulations to Pasi, may this be the first of many such positions for Finnish Cricket! |
