Want to help make your club function even better? Then the CLUB DEVELOPMENT FORUM 2015 is the place to be.

Date: Saturday 26th September.
Time: 10am to 4pm.
Venue: KNCG Pavilion, Kerava

Topics to be discussed are among others: running and developing an ‘ry’ cricket club, AGMs & Committees, Accounts and Membership Fees, Ground Bookings and Wicket Maintenance, Developing an Umpiring and Coaching Capacity, Internal and External Communications. Supporting Junior Development. Hoping to have two representatives per club.

Your club main contact has received more information on the Forum so please contact him. The names of participants must be sent to the FCA committee secretary by Monday 31st of August.

Communication with member clubs from latest 31.01.2015 onwards

Due to continuous problems in ensuring that the FCA information reaches all member clubs, the FCA Board has decided that starting 2015 general information to members will no longer be sent the personal email addresses of club representatives. This issue was met with approval at the recent Club Development Forum.

In the future all general information (for example announcements of rules, invitations to events or meetings etc) will only be sent to club "generic email addresses". A generic email address is of the type "lahtiCC@gmail.com” or “PoriCCcontact@hotmail.com”. Some of the member clubs already have this kind of generic email and they do not need to create a new one; for these clubs please just re-confirm the generic email for general contact that will continue to be used.

Those clubs that have up to now used the personal email address of for example their chairman or secretary, must create a generic email account (address) and inform the FCA Board secretary via email to secretary@cricketfinland.com of this new address by latest the end of January 2015.

It is then up to the clubs to ensure that someone checks the mail sent to this address on a regular (we suggest weekly) basis and then makes sure the mail is forwarded to the correct person/s in the club for action.

Club Development Forum 2014

On October 18 & 19 the FCA will host its first ever Club Development Forum at Kisakeskus Sports Centre.
Each club is to send at least one but preferably two representatives to the Forum. Invitations to the Forum have been sent to the clubs, but the invitation and preliminary programme are now also available on the Cricket FInland website. If you are not your club's representative, please contact him, her or them to make sure your voice is heard.

The idea of a Forum was enthusiastically welcomed at the 2014 FCA AGM, so make sure you and your club are represented when the Forum becomes reality. The aim of this forum is to get input from the member clubs on questions such as improving club management and budgeting, the 2015 league structures, junior activities and the long-term development of cricket in Finland. The event will also allow informing clubs of, amongst other topics, FCA goals, financing, umpiring, the use of CricHQ and disciplinary questions.
