2018 CF Renewal of Umpire Appointment

Published May 18th, 2018

The CF Board is delighted to announce it has re-appointed Sriharsha Kuchimanchi to continue as a formally contracted umpire starting this weekend until end-July 2018.

Following just over 2 action-packed months as contracted umpire for CF for the first time last year, and having completed the 1st part of his ICC/ECB Level 1A course at KNCG in October, Sriharsha returned to Hyderabad. While there he has stood in 60+ matches during the recent Indian season, which has been an excellent way to progress his already strong umpire craft.

Once again, the main aims for Sriharsha will be to stand in as many Div.1 league T20 & SM40, SM-Viikko and Elite T20 games as possible in his position on the new Elite Panel (as communicated earlier this month). Sriharsha will also actively assist with the task to educate our resident umpires and help improve their field-craft, while standing with a more experienced partner.

LSC/Aadhavan will be tasked with the coordination and practicalities related to ensuring the above is a success and that in as many cases as possible the umpires that stand with Sriharsha are the ones that really want to develop further as umpires. Please do contact LSC if you too wish to become a more active umpire.

The re-appointment is another step in improving umpiring standards in Finland and we wish Sriharsha a very warm welcome back to a very hot Finland cricket summer!
