Cricket comes to Kuopio

Cricket has spread to another town in Finland as the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE tells us in a headline that translates into 'Kuopio Becomes Cricket City', going on to say that Indian students at the university form the backbone of the new club.

In an effort to gain wider support for the sport, newly-founded Kuopio CC has set up a game with Jyväskylä CC to be played at a local pesäpallo ground, namely Puijon pesäpallostadion on Sunday, July 20. Free entry from 10 a.m., in case you're in Savo at the weekeend.
