General CricHQ Instructions

CricHQ will be mandatory for scoring in all FCA league matches (e.g. SM40, T20 & X-Div) and teams must take responsibility for management of their own CricHQ scoring, device and application.

It is also a requirement that all players (for that match) must have a photograph in their profile in their team ready in CricHQ at the start of each match

There will be penalties for incomplete, missing or poor scorecards, and missing players/player photographs; and incentives for live scoring during FCA league matches.

For further admin support please refer to https://support.crichq.com/portal/home and refer to the CricHQ pdf guides for users, club admin and team admin attached.

2. CricHQ scoring for FCA league matches

2.1 Both teams playing must ensure at the start of the match that they:
  • have a device with CricHQ app ready to score on at the start of each match (including the AWAY team)
  • have all players in a teams’ playing list with a profile that can be selected from their “Team” in CricHQ and a with matching photo in their CricHQ profile*
  • choose which device to score on (both teams take responsibility in this decision - but the ultimate responsibility for the device rests with the HOME team - see penalty matrix for more details)
  • identify at least 3 nominated players who will score using CricHQ
  • score for their entirety of their batting innings

2.2 Both teams while scoring with CricHQ must take care of their scoring for their batting innings - thus it is recommended that scorers:

  • Check during scoring from the umpire’s for bowler’s names, batsmen on strike, catches and dismissals;
  • Check the scorecards for any mistakes and edit accordingly before:
    • starting the 2nd innings AND
    • ending the match.

2.3 Both teams are responsible for uploading the scorecard to CricHQ at the end of the match - however it is recommended that teams:

  • Upload the match ONLY AFTER:
    • the umpires have approved the result/score; and
    • the captains have checked both;
  • AND within 24 hours of match completion.

3. Penalties for CricHQ

Penalty points for infringements are outlined on the Finland Cricket Association website, but in brief there will be be points penalties for:
  • failure of home and away teams to provide a CricHQ device for the match
  • failure to have players profiles ready in team by the toss
  • failure to have players photos for profiles in the team by the toss
  • failure to get confirmation from umpires and captains of scorecard
  • any edits to the scorecards after the match has been uploaded
  • failure to provide an adequate or incomplete scorecard for the match due to CricHQ device or app failure*
  • failure to upload scorecard within 24 hours of the match completion
* This will be judged on a case by case basis.

4. Live scoring CricHQ incentives

We will be asking all clubs to live score of all their FCA league matches in 2015, where possible. Please try this out, it may have a small effect on the battery - so make sure you have a power source handy.

However IT DOES NOT have an effect on whether your device crashes!

There will be a small financial reward for the top clubs using live scoring throughout their respective competitions (SM40 Div 1, SM40 Div 2, T20 and X-Div) as part of CricHQ support.

See more info here for how to do this: https://support.crichq.com/portal/helpcenter/articles/how-do-i-use-live-scoring

5. FCA CricHQ Administration

The LSC is in charge of preparing the CricHQ official tournaments and fixtures for 2015.

LSC will decide on and distribute any penalties relating to CricHQ throughout the year.

As CricHQ coordinator for the LSC Gerard will be able to guide you in the direction of support from CricHQ for any admin issues.
NOTE: Individual team requests for scorecard changes after the match will incur penalties if requested or if I have identified them after the match. So make sure these are fixed on match day before uploading any scorecards.
