Forming a cricket clubDo you want to join the Finnish Cricket Association (FCA)?
The FCA warmly welcomes all types of cricketers, regardless of age, gender, race or ability, beginners and professionals alike! Please do look up our existing member clubs depending on your location in Finland and if you do not manage to find one near you, then please get in touch directly with FCA's secretary, Heikki Mahlamäki (http://www.cricketfinland.com/contact-us.html). If you wish to form a new club, then you will need to first become an officially registered association via the PRH, Finnish Patent and Registration Office (http://www.prh.fi/en/index.html). You will find instructions via their webpage in Finnish & English, while the FCA can also guide you when getting started with the process. You should also review the latest club requirements for FCA membership, both for new and existing clubs; the latest version of these requirements was updated January 12th 2018. To see this PDF document, click here or scroll down to the below document display. Your new club will need an official constitution, committee officers and a bank account, after which point you should approach the FCA with a free format membership application to join us. Please don't hesitate to contact the Finnish Cricket Association for more information. Please note carefully, as outlined in the PDF document above, only after the FCA Board has approved any new club application for membership, then any new club requests to play in formal FCA summer leagues must be received by no later than end-October in the previous year; and the earlier the better! |
