Finnish Cricket Week
A week full of festivities to celebrate Finnish cricketBeginning on Friday, June 6th, there will be a whole host of cricket action and festivities here in Finland – from international games and touring parties to youth development events. Finnish Cricket Week (or #FinnishCricketWeek) includes a junior camp, national team matches against a representative side from Denmark and the official inauguration of the Kerava National Cricket Ground and its pavilion. The definite highlight of the week is the visit of Marylebone Cricket Club’s touring delegation.

Cricket Week ProgrammeFriday the 6th of June marks the beginning of the celebration of Finnish cricket. The week kicks off with a couple of excellent cricket matches: the Finnish National Team plays an MCC side as well the Danish National Team.

June 7 - Family Day
Saturday June 7th is Family Day at Kerava National Cricket Ground. There will be a couple of interesting cricket matches in a brilliant setting (see MCC Tour Programme for details) in addition to time in sun with friends and family. Whether you know the game or have no idea what it is about, you will feel welcome! June 10 - Official Inauguration The Official inauguration ceremony of the Kerava National Cricket Ground is taking place on Tuesday 10th of June 2014 at 2 pm. After the official ceremony the Finnish national team will play a T20 match against MCC's touring side and everyone are warmly welcome to watch the game from the brand new pavilion porch. June 9-13 - Youth Cricket Camp A junior cricket camp will be held at Kerava NCG from June 9 through June 13. No previous experience is needed since qualified coaches will give proper introduction to the game of cricket. The camp combines increased knowledge of the excellent game of cricket - regardless of your skill level at the start - with health exercise. More information about the youth camp is available here:
