Cricket Finland

The young Tampere Cricket Club was founded in April 2000, and after 2 years of development and friendly games, made a successful entry into the FCA League in 2002.

After a respectable 4th place in both 2002 & 2003, runners-up in 2004, Finnish Indoor Champions and Bronze medalists 2005, and Finnish SM45 Champions in 2006, the youthful multi-ethnic team finished 4th again in 2007. After the loss of many core players, the 2008 season was not as rewarding, however, in 2009 TreCC narrowly missed out on the coveted 2nd place in the SM40 competition, and is again enthusiastic about its prospects in 2010, both in the FCA League and the various other activities planned for the year. 

We enjoy playing, learning, and teaching cricket, and aim to develop cricket in Tampere and further afield in Finland. Indoor training sessions are already ongoing, and will start in earnest from January till April, after which the outdoor season starts. 

We are very happy to introduce any newcomers to the game, and also again hope that our ladies team will again re-form.
