The oldest cricket club in Finland, HCC has been graced with a history of fine cricketers who have not only contributed to the sport of cricket in Finland but have passed on the mantle of the undying spirit of cricket down to the present day HCC ‘tigers’. It's no wonder that with such a fine pedigree of players in the past, the club continues to draw on their experience and churn out champions of the game, whether on the field or off the field.

HCC got the official club status in 1972 and since then there is no looking back. HCC has a reputation of being a multicultured club with the members from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. It has been served by members of nationalities like Finland, India, Pakistan, England, Australia, West Indies, Sri Lanka, etc.

We are the Winners of SM-League 2005 and 2002.

Saturday-30th August 2008, Helsinki Cricket Club defeated Vantaa CC in one of the best SM-league games played ever in Finland.HCC's youngsters and the old boys proved that cricket is all about the team game rather than one man show.
HCC won the toss and elected to bat.HCC's Openers looked good in the beginning and after losing the first two openers,HCC's innings slowed a bit. Following which,some more wickets fell. HCC cautiously registered a total of 163 in 34 overs.

In return,Vantaa CC lost first wicket on the first ball of second half-a great catching show from HCC's fielders.After losing first two wickets on mere 15 runs,Vantaa CC was climbing up the target very fast-because of some great hits from Milan.Around 90's,Oba picked up the most dangerous strikker,Milan- who had struck a hat-trick of sixes from the previous over. After this important wicket HCC was un-stoppable.No VCC batsman could tackle the brilliant spell from HCC's bowlers.Indeed, Obadullah took his career best of 6 wickets haul. Not to forget some great fielding and bowling efforts from HCC's player,Vantaa CC were reduced to 142 allout.This was all in 2008,and HCC won. HCC is 2008 Finnish SM league Champion.Congratulations Helsinki Cricket Club!!!!

Finally, Nike has done it! With its latest ad exploding on television screens in India, the world's top sports shoe company has done something it has never done before -- a commercial on cricket. 
Packed with tremendous energy, great visuals and fun music, the ad captures the spirit of the all too familiar site of Indian street cricket with superb authenticity and gripping drama. 
Contrary to many previous Nike ads which ride on the backs of sports stars, this ad depicts two star cricketers -- Zaheer Khan and S Sreesanth -- as onlookers, who even get their car bashed up while the game is being played in a chaotic traffic jam.
